| As most of you know, HFTWOL is more than just a church. We are a ministry that houses the Oasis of Love Inc., Crisis Intervention Center, the. Agape I & II 24-hour Child Development Centers, The Brother's Keeper Men's Network and the Hennepin County African American Men's Project Right Turn Project. These major programs do not include all of the other non-traditional church programs through which HFTWOL serves families on a daily basis. Our services include job placement, housing assistance, odd-hour child care, domestic abuse counseling, violence prevention and intervention, GED assistance, mentoring, a food shelf; and leadership training for at-risk youth. We've had the privilege of hosting two gun buy back events that took several hundred automatic and semi-automatic weapons off of the streets of Minneapolis. We currently employ about 50 people, most of which own homes here in the community. These accomplishments would be commendable for any church, but because of our size and location, these accomplishments were miraculous: Through this combination of programs, we have literally ministered to thousands of families covering 140 zip codes, over the past several years. In 2008, we are celebrating 26 years of ministry and community service! All of these programs operated in North Minneapolis, an urban community being threatened by drugs, violence, crime, teen pregnancy and hopelessness. Even the midst of these social ills and negative media images, we have emerged as an agent for positive change in our community. Rather than complaining, we have become a major part of the solution. The City of Minneapolis has acknowledged our efforts through 3 different city resolutions. Can any good come out of North Minneapolis? The answer is a resounding, "YES, YES, YES"! |

| Holding Forth the Word of Life is on the move! Midweek Services - Starting June 24th until further notice Wednesday Night Prayer and Thursday Night Services will be held at the Agape / Oasis Administration office at 7 pm. The location is 2304 Emerson Avenue North, Minneapolis. Beginning June 21st, Sunday Services will be held downtown at the Radisson Plaza Hotel. Service will begin at 10 am. The address of the hotel is 35 South 7th Street and services will be held in the Scandinavian Ballroom. Great news we will now have shuttle service for those that wish to bring their car to the 2304 Emerson and get a ride to the Radisson Hotel from there. The shuttle will leave 2304 Emerson Avenue North at 9:15 am, 9:45am and 10:15am. Please pass the word so everyone will be notified. |
