Church Vision

Holding Forth The Word of Life Church was formed by the direction of the Holy Spirit and incorporated in the
State of Minnesota in August of 1982, as a nondenominational church, where God's uncompromised Word
would be taught to all races of people.

The emphasis of the ministries' teachings are to bring about the restoration of the family unit according to
God's Word, to teach believers their redemptive rights and privileges in Christ according to the Word of God,
and to reveal the character of God as it families in the life of the believer.

Purpose

To restore families back to God's original plan and purpose using His written Word as our pattern. This will
involve:

  1. Sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ that others might be saved.
  2. Making disciples, equipping and teaching the saints for the work of the ministry.
  3. Develop ministries by which we can meet the needs of our community.

Foundation Scriptures

  • Isa. 62:10 - Go through, go through the gates, prepare ye the way of the people; cast up the highway;
    gather out the stones; lift up a standard.
  • Isa. 57:14 - And shall say, cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling block out of
    the way of my people.
  • Phil. 2:16 - Holding Forth The Word of Life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in
    vain, neither laboured in vain.

Local Vision

  1. To establish a strong local church that will be a positive force for good in the Inner City.
  2. To develop strong role models within the Urban Community that will be an example of the
    characteristics of Christ.
  3. To develop strong leadership that will carry on the message of the gospel in the Urban Community.
  4. To establish a strong effective evangelism program for all age groups, and to spread the gospel
    through all available communicational methods.
  5. To establish a community outreach service that will minister to the whole man: spirit, soul and body.

  6. To establish a youth outreach that will turn the hearts of these young people back to God.
  7. To establish a 24-hour preschool and evening care. (Agape' Preschool and Crisis Nursery)
  8. To get information about Holding Forth The Word of Life Church to every home in the northside area.
  9. To reach out to other ministries for the purpose of fellowship, unity and love.
  10. To establish a strong effective outreach to meet the special needs of the elderly.
  11. To establish a prison ministry.

National Vision

  1. To establish other branches of Holding Forth the Word of Life Church in other states.
  2. To spread the gospel to other states through seminars, crusades, television and radio and the internet.
  3. To reach out and fellowship with other ministries from other states.
  4. To establish a national men/women of color Word conference.

International Vision

  1. To spread the gospel to other countries through educational seminars and crusades.
  2. To train, support and send out missionaries from Holding Forth The Word of Life Church to other
    countries.
  3. To support existing missionaries presently ministering in other countries.
